Alvarado's GateWatch is a highly accurate, easy to use, software program which provides counts of the actual number of patrons who have entered, exited and the actual number of people in the facility - at any point in time. GateWatch breaks the counts down by facility, entry area and individual entry point.
The GateWatch program stores this information and allows you to prepare customized reports that may be viewed on screen or printed. GateWatch works by communicating with access or exit control devices, including: The access/exit control devices are connected via standard Category 5 cable to a controller. As patrons enter or exit, a signal is immediately sent to the GateWatch host computer via the controller. The GateWatch host computer determines which gate or lane sent the signal and whether the signal is for an entry or exit. Increases or decreases in the entry or exit totals are viewed in real time on the GateWatch monitor and stored in the system software. All past information, categorized by date and time, is immediately available for historic purposes and analysis. The entire process, from the time a patron enters or exits until the time the information is displayed on the GateWatch monitor, is completed in seconds.
