Model: OT-100
The OT Series optical turnstiles are designed to provide stylish, barrier-free passageways with the use of a card reader. Its unique six-optical-sensor array allows access in the entry direction without allowing piggybacking. The OT units are normally placed in arrays of two or more, and may be used in a multitude of security-controlled environments. The OT Series models are designed and built to withstand a rigorous access control environment, while offering graceful passageway.

Appearance and Construction
The OT-100 Optical Turnstile cabinet is built from 14 gauge (0.075”) type 304 Satin stainless steel. The base plate is of ¼” thick stainless steel. Standard for the OT-100 is a full radius on one end to indicate the entry direction. The top cover houses high intensity red and green led indicators and mountings for a HID card reader. Our standard 1-1/8" thick granite top cover is fastened with a stainless steel mounting plate.
Interface / Control Board
www.TURNSTILES.us' interface board is custom designed for system integration. This ruggedly designed board can handle a variety of basic access control functions associated with both optical portals and conventional turnstile access control equipment. It uses a programmable micro-controller that is capable of processing a number of different card reader inputs (swipe, contactless, bar code) and outputs for indicators counters and other peripherals.
Inputs:
- Up to 6 sensor inputs
- Card reader signal
- The board provides a software variable time out of the card credit (normally set at 4 seconds) to prevent theft of entry by a second person
- Input from turnstile micro-switches, indicating degree of rotation of the turnstile mechanism
Outputs: - Outputs to LED indicators
- Variable audio signal up to 10-watt output
- Dry contact signal indicating passage or RS-485 twisted pair data link up to half of a mile
- Electronic counter
- Turnstile solenoid release
Standard Functions
The Model OT-100 comes standard with bright red and green surface mount LEDs . The internal audio output speaker is adjustable in both volume and time duration to match its particular environment. The OT-100 has a four second timeout to prevent unwanted access. This unit is designed to operate using a 24VDC power supply.

Fail-safe
The fail-safe option provides a battery back-up system in the event of a power failure. This option allows the turnstile to continue functioning during a power failure (batteries may be housed in the lower compartment of the turnstile cabinet).
