EDCX-SC Ticket
Scanning Turnstiles

Our EDCX-SC ticket scanning turnstiles are designed to operate seamlessly with Alvarado's GateLink™ Validation software as well as other systems such as Paciolan's E-Access™ and Just Arrive's digital ticket fulfillment system. EDCX-SC models include an integrated controller that communicates to the facility validation server in real time, and use an industrial grade rastering scanner suitable for scanning both traditional barcoded and "print at home" tickets.

The EDCX-SC2 turnstile (shown above) includes wireless Ethernet, and bright TFT color display to present patron greetings, sponsorship messages and ticket scanning prompts. Other available options include portable battery powered operation, attendant message display and battery powered counter.

Alvarado's new EDCX-SCP turnstile (shown at right) adds a magnetic stripe reader, thermal ticket printer, and operator keypad to the features of the SC-2, allowing venues to print tickets and coupons at points of entry to a facility, enabling features such as digital ticket fulfillment and promotional capabilities.

PocketGate Wireless
Handheld Ticket Scanning

Designed to work with Alvarado's GateLink
Validation or GateLink Validation LE admission control software, Alvardado's PocketGate application provides real time ticket validation and lookups via a rugged Symbol PPT 8846 portable pen terminal. This Pocket PC based device features integrated barcode scanner and wireless Ethernet, allowing validation of bar coded tickets at handicapped entrances, or other entry points without turnstiles.

For facilities that desire digital ticket fulfillment and other promotional capabilities, Alvarado also offers the PocketGate Plus. When used in conjunction with our GateLink Validation Plus software, the PocketGate Plus not only provides barcode ticket scanning, but also incorporates a mobile thermal ticket printer and magnetic- stripe reader to allow printing of tickets and coupons.

Patron Access Consoles

Alvarado's Patron Access Console (PAC) provides operator assisted entry validation at a number of large theme parks that use the GateLink Validation system. The PAC works with our EDCX and SU500 turnstiles. It combines an omni directional scanner, controller, counters and associated electronics, plus an integrated keypad to allow operators to log on to the system. Operators can also manually input any override functions.
